Salvation

The most important decision you will ever make in your life is,

where will you choose to spend eternity?

You will spend eternity in one of two places. Either in Heaven or hell. To spend it in hell you don't need to do anything further. In Romans 3:23 the Bible tells us "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God". Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death....." so as you can see everyone on earth is headed for spiritual death or hell.

But here is the Good News. Romans 6:23 goes on to say that ".....but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". And in Romans 5:8 we read "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".

The Good News continues in Romans 10:9-10,13. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." And in Ephesians 2:8-9 we read that "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast".

The Bible goes on to say in John 3:16-17 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." and John 5:24 tells us "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." and Acts 16:30b-31 says ".....what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

You have just read a personal message from God to you. You have now read the most important words in the world, for this living message concerns your soul and your eternal destiny. Now the God of love wants to give you the greatest gift in the world. This gift is God's plan of salvation. Salvation is a gift, and you can receive it right this very minute if you'll admit you're a sinner and ask Jesus to save you. Why not accept it right now? Will you pray this simple prayer?

O God, I know that I'm a sinner. I am sorry for my sins and I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed his blood to save my soul. I know that Jesus can save me and that he is the only one who can save me. I want Jesus to come into my heart and save me now. Amen.
